China Post Delivery Time to the USA
If you're a frequent online shopper, you have probably ordered something from China at least once. Stores like AliExpress, GearBest, Joom, and Wish are very popular among customers from all over the world, including the USA. And China Post is one of the most popular shipping methods for these stores.
So you've probably asked yourself: how long does China Post take to deliver to the USA? Short answer: from 2 to 5 weeks. Long answer: read on.
As you can imagine, we as a package tracking service have a lot of data about China Post shipments. We've analyzed 2000 random parcels initially handled by China Post, which were sent to the US and were successfully delivered; and now we will share the resulting data with you.
Once again: this research has been done just for China Post and for parcels sent to the US; other Chinese carriers have not been included, since we aimed to make this research as granular as possible. We plan to do similar research for other carriers in the future. We decided to start with this one because China Post tracking is one of the most used features of our service.
The sample size was selected to be 2000 packages since we see it as sufficient, based on our data, to make conclusions about the average delivery time. Maybe in the future, we will make different versions of this research, like separating by quarters or months, trying bigger sample sizes, etc.
So this is the coldest, hardest data you can get. Those are not estimations, not guesses, not opinions.
So, let's get to the results:
Delivery time | Number of packages | Percentage |
---|---|---|
1 week or less | 16 | 0.8% |
1-2 weeks | 458 | 22.9% |
2-3 weeks | 741 | 37% |
3-4 weeks | 371 | 18.6% |
4-5 weeks | 248 | 12.4% |
5-6 weeks | 83 | 4.1% |
6-7 weeks | 43 | 2.1% |
7-8 weeks | 15 | 0.7% |
8-9 weeks | 13 | 0.6% |
9-10 weeks | 4 | 0.2% |
more than 10 weeks | 8 | 0.4% |
As you can see, the most common delivery time is 2-3 weeks, which is 37% of all packages. The second most common delivery time is 1-2 weeks, which is 22.9% of all packages. So, in total, 60% of all packages are delivered within 3 weeks, and 91% - within 5 weeks.
But there are also packages that take more than 5 weeks to be delivered, up to 10 weeks and more. But keep in mind that only successfully delivered packages were selected for this research, so even if your China Post package is being delayed, there is still a decent chance that it will be delivered. It can be stressful, but sometimes all you need is a little bit more patience. But what helps to reduce the stress is seeing your package moving, so track China Post packages with us to have some peace of mind.
