Czech Post Carrier Info & Tips
Czech Post is a state-owned company operating postal services in the Czech Republic and with approximately 31,000 employees, the second-largest Czech company after the Agrofert Group in terms of the number of employees.
Czech Post started preparing the Poshta Partner project in 2008. In December 2009, the first branch of Poshta Partner was opened in Bozhyi Dar. The purpose of the whole project is to transfer part of the branches to post offices operated by a third party, similar to the situation abroad. At the end of 2017, there were a total of 428 Partner Post offices in the Czech Republic.
Shipments, from delivery points and from selections of mailboxes, are sorted at collection hubs. Sorting means that they are assigned the most suitable direction (according to the address) and the optimal mode of transport (according to the type of shipment and the service selected by the sender).
Czech Post currently uses two types of postal mail transport within its national transmission road and railway network. Postal items are also transported to and from some European countries by road. For postal connections with the rest of the world, the Czech Post mainly uses air and, in some cases, sea lines.
Package Set Shipment
The Package Set Shipment is a premium service of the Czech Post, which will make it much easier for you to send packages, as it solves these problems.
At a Czech Post branch, in a Post shop or from a delivery person, you can buy the Package Set Shipment, which also contains a fixing insert so that nothing happens to the items being sent, and self-adhesive tape. The price of the package also includes the removal of the package from the address you entered.
If you prefer to submit the package at any Czech Post branch, you also have this option. At Czech Post branches, which are equipped with a modern calling system, then just read the barcode of the Package Set Shipment and you will be called preferentially.
You can select the parameters of the package (sender, recipient) and possible delivery directly here, on the Czech Post online portal. Start by entering the 13-digit code, which can be found under the barcode on the package you purchased.
Transportation of Goods
This service allows you to send purchased goods back to the seller at his expense. The service can be used if the seller has agreed with the Czech Post on such kind of service.
If you would like to use it, you should enter a specific code for this service, which you can request from the seller. To use the service, just enter the Czech Post application and simply fill in the address details and basic parameters of the shipment.
You just need to enter the Goods Receipt Authorization Code that you received from the seller and fill in the shipment details. You will choose whether to submit the shipment at the post office or Czech Post will pick it up from you and that is all. The shipment of goods is arranged easily using one application.
Returning of Goods
The Return of Goods service brings the possibility to send the goods back to the seller at his expense. Just enter the Czech Post application and simply fill in the address details. The service can be used only if the seller chose the additional Return of Goods service when sending the original shipment.
At the same time, Czech Post offers the option of generating the withdrawal from the purchase contract or Request for exchange of goods form (if the seller allows it), which you can print out and send to the seller if the seller makes this legal action subject to a refund or exchange of goods.
Czech Post is not responsible for meeting the conditions for withdrawal from the contract or for the exchange of goods, or further action by the seller towards you. Czech Post does not provide the sending of the Withdrawal from the purchase contract form or the Request for exchange of goods form.
You just need to enter the delivery number of the shipment, thanks to which you will find out whether the goods from the shipment can be returned. You will choose whether to submit the shipment at the post office or Czech Post will pick it up from you.
